1/20    Due to weather conditions, SLAP 96 practice on Friday, January 20th at Ladue has been canceled.  

1/17    The Florida trip is approaching quickly.  Please note the flight info:  2/16 Southwest #2820 non-stop St. Louis to Ft. Lauderdale departs 1:15 pm arrives 4:50 pm.  2/20 Southwest # 2740 non-stop Ft. Lauderdale to St. Louis departs 12:40 pm arrives 2:50 pm.  The team is staying at the Courtyard by Marriot Coral Springs.  Game schedule will be posted as soon as it is available.  Parents attending include Mr. Ladd, Mr. Beckmann, Mr. Duncan, Mrs. Finkelstein, Mr. Gudiswitz, Mrs. Lee, Mrs. Becker, Mrs. Youkilis and Mr. Brown.  Coaches attending are Coach Miller, Coach Taylor & Coach Colleen.  Mrs. Milton will be contacting  all those going to put together the contact & emergency list, as well set up the meeting time for 2/16.  

1/15   Please remember that there are no practices tomorrow due to the holiday.  Next week's schedule has been changed to allow players, coaches, refs & all in the polo community to attend the memorial service for Hall of Fame Coach Wally Lundt.  Info on the service can be found on the MO Water Polo homepage.  There will be no U14 game on the 1/21.  That game will be played as part of the Kuppa (2/3-2/5).  The SLAP Girls team will participate in the Lindenwood Invite 2/4-2/5 at The St. Peter's Rec Plex.  No Girls practice on 1/22 with Coach Colleen in Chicago for ODP training.  All the teams played great this weekend.  18 Blue tied a very tough Mad Dog Red, despite not having a goalie.  Currently they are 2-1-1.  18 Gold came storming back only to fall by 1 goal to Mad Dog White.  Currently they are 0-4.  16 Blue & 16 Gold worked very hard against bigger/stronger opponents.  16 Blue is 1-3 & 16 Gold is still trying to find that elusive win at 0-4.  SLAP U14 played their best game of the season going 0-0 after the first quarter, down 2-1 at half & then only down 5-3 going into the final quarter.  Great job.  Currently they are 0-4.   The SLAP 93 team played incredible press defense & countered hard in back to back games against Flyer A & JCWP Brown to go 2-0 on the day.  Currently they are 4-1.  The 2nd order for team suits was placed earlier this week.  They should arrive in time for the 1/28 games.  Everyone should have received their SLAP fleece winter beanie.  If you haven't please email Coach Miguel.   Finally, the SLAP dry-fit t-shirts are available for purchase for players, parents & fans.  They are $25 (checks payable to Clayton Water Polo).  We have adult sizes S-XL.  Please email Coach Miguel with your size & he'll make sure to have them at your next practice. 

1/6    Happy New Year!  Just a few updates to share:  The full game schedule has now been posted.  Unfortunately we don't have enough players to return this winter to the 616 Shootout in Grand Rapids.  The SLAP 93 team will no longer be practicing on Fridays.  Instead they will scrimmage on Sundays with the Senior Men's Team.  Please check the calendar for the schedule.  Finally, the teams have been playing well, despite the records. The coaches are very pleased with the progress the players are making this winter.  After 3 weeks of Winter League Play, SLAP 18 Blue & SLAP 93 are 2-1 while SLAP 18 Gold, SLAP 16 Gold, SLAP 16 Blue & SLAP U14 are sitting at 0-3.
